This role will be located in Poole but the selected candidate will be expected to travel to Northern Ireland frequently to fulfil the role successfully. This candidate must possess a valid UK passport for security checks.
The UK & Northern Ireland Sales Manager will focus on the day to day activities and development of new and existing fluid power accounts within the assigned territories. This position will focus on ensuring that existing accounts and new accounts utilize the full range of products within the company Portfolio. The company is at an exciting stage of transformation in re launching its brand identity, product development and growing the bottom line. This role is based very much so on an established client base so is more of a service role, however the ability to be proactive in business development and market research is vital to this role. The role will provide an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to lead the inside sales team to success. Our wide network of engineers and product specialists in different countries offers support in order to maintain consistent implementation and ongoing development of marketing strategies.
Implement marketing strategies, analyse trends and results.
Maintains sales volume, product mix and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators and competitors.
Function as a technical liaison and will work directly with the distributors and direct accounts to support growth initiatives within the assigned market area.
Provide training and support for the assigned distributors, to insure 100% customer satisfaction, confidence and retention.
Mutual end customer visits with Distributor Partners as determined by company policy to assist in distributor evolution and technical sales opportunities related to the range of products.
Validate and respond to Distributor warranty needs, concerns and/ or issues.
Meet or exceed all sales and gross margin goals as determined jointly with management.
Manage and lead all sales staff job results by training, counselling and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring and appraising job results.
Skills / Qualifications:
Confident style of communication, high-level negotiating skills and strong customer orientation.
Meeting sales goals, sales planning, customer intimacy and market knowledge. Must possess the ability to recognize and convert sales opportunities into orders. Advanced Microsoft Office and presentation skills. High willingness to travel throughout the UK & Northern Ireland.
Several years of professional experience in mobile and transport hydraulics inside UK & Northern Ireland markets
Ideally an application Engineering background, especially for fluid power applications advantageous
Min. 10 years of strong sales experience on all levels
Off road mobile hydraulic market experience
Salary £45,000-£48,000 plus (OTE) 15% bonus of salary. £5,000 car allowance p.a
