Our customer are a well established real estate & property services firm, with a large presence both in the UK and overseas, with a current requirement for an engineering manager for a high profile portfolio in Kings Cross, Central London. Working on a Monday-Friday basis, with responsibility to the building owners and tenants while managing a third party M&E maintenance contractor, the guideline salary for this position is up to £65,000 for the right person, along with a good benefits package including private healthcare, contributory pension scheme, etc.
Candidates must be fully qualified in either electrical or mechanical engineering, ideally through a full apprenticeship, with at least five years of management within a commercial building services environment - corporate, trophy building, banking, etc.
Reponsibilities will include:
Managing service levels of the specialist M&E contractor
Shut-downs and project works
Planned & Reactive Maintenance to HVAC systems
Client & Stake-holder meetings
Reporting into an Operations Director
The position is working directly for a managing agent, and offers the opportunity to move into more of a client-side opportunity. Dealing with various tenants and senior management, character is as important as a strong technical background. As such, they are looking for a well presented and articulate individual, with good communication skills (verbal and IT).
This is an excellent opportunity for an existing engineering manager to join a prestigious property services firm, with added security as opposed to an M&E services provider. With the added benefits, this is a chance not to be missed.
