Engineering Design Co-ordinator

My client, an engineering innovator with an established reputation for excellence has an excellent opening for an Engineering Co-ordinator to join their professional team.

As Engineering Co-ordinator, you will be the key link between departments providing effective and cost competitive solutions to design briefs, ensuring designs leaving the engineering department are effectively put into production with all required jigs. You will be the liaison point for requests for technical assistance.

This varied and interesting role will include, but not be limited to:

·Responsibility for agreeing project timescales and delivering projects on time.

·Producing solid modelled parts and assemblies (using SolidEdge), and fully toleranced detailed drawings, assembly drawings and sectional drawings.

·Producing BOM’s on company systems.

·Working with the production engineer to design jigs and fixtures enabling speedy product manufacture

·Conducting required product tests.

·Attending regular departmental meetings.

·Being resourceful and thinking laterally, (see a problem from different angles) and use technology to further the design of mechanical products in form and function.

·Monitoring standards and understand changes.

Suitable candidates will possess a basic mechanical engineering qualification, along with experience of 3D CAD (Solidedge or similar package), good Excel and Word skills, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work in a busy, pressurised environment.

You will need to be based within a reasonable commute of Henley-on-Thames.

In return, a salary of up to 27k is offered (dep on skills/exp) +discretionary profit related bonus up to 8% +25 days hols+pension+free parking+perm health
