Hydraulic / Construction Plant Engineer

Our client is a leader in their field, they have 50 years combined experience and specialise in attachment solutions to the construction industry. They are a growing family business and have successfully developed the business on the values of honestly, integrity and quality.

They are currently looking to recruit an Engineer, this is a great opportunity for someone looking for the next step in their career or someone looking to forge a career in this field with a supportive business who can offer development and progression.

Attitude is everything for this company as they are willing to train the right individual but you must be eager to learn and happy to take instruction. They do need candidates who enjoy being very hands on, happy and able with heavy lifting and who have good eye - hand coordination. You will need to have a driving licence and if you have a fork lift or a HGV licence that would beneficial.

Key responsibilities include -

  • Delivery, installation and repair of attachments for excavators

  • Use of fork lifts for loading and unloading items

  • Vehicle servicing checks carried out quarterly

  • Spray painting of attachments

  • General upkeep of the workshop and company vehicles

Person requirements -

  • Honest and loyal and trustworthy

  • Attitude – flexible and willing to train

  • You will be working with heavy plant so need to have physical strength

  • Team player

  • Work with high standards

  • Driving licence essential

In return the company offer an excellent package which includes -

  • Salary between £18,000 - £24,000 depending on experience

  • Pension scheme

  • Personal and company performance related bonuses

  • Lunch provided daily

  • 20 days holiday plus stats

  • Working hours 7.00am – 4.30pm
