Design Engineer - Somerset

Building and Construction

RHL are currently recruiting for a Design Engineer who will be responsible for ensuring that the Client's Design and Manufacturing requirements are satisfied from enquiry through to completion, whilst complying with the Quality, Health and Safety procedures of the Company.

The Design Engineer will be in a team responsible for all design work including Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, Detail, Fabrication, Wall Panel drawings, Howick design, BoM's either in AutoCAD or/and in Solidworks to be in compliance with Quality procedures, CDM regulations, Building Standards, relevant statutory requirements and any other relevant standards.

You will ensure all drawings and specifications are checked for accuracy and approved before issue and be expected to work closely with the factory personnel to ensure optimum design and buildability of the product.

Planning

  • Organise and manage your resources to complete drawings, specifications and any other documentation to the required standards within the required deadlines, highlighting any conflicts to your manager.

  • Hold regular meetings to review planning with your manager.

Reporting

  • Produce reports as required accurately and within relevant timescales.

  • Report any job-related problems/issues to your manager.

You will have a background in Building and Construction / Manufacturing and be an Experienced user in 3D Solidworks.
