Our prestige client British designers and manufacturers of modern awards and trophies and are seeking for Engineer / Toolmaker with CNC Setting and Operating experience - Milling, Turning, Drilling & Tapping tasks both manual and CNC.
The role is very varied as we produce an average of 15 pieces per design. Trophies are created across all industries for example Sports, Celebrity, Food and Drink and Finance
Client is working to tight deadlines and each candidate needs to be fit and able to work mostly standing up within a busy team. Dexterous, nimble fingered, accurate, numerate, take pride in their work, enthusiastic, keen to learn, good eye for detail as each job is meticulously matched to an approved design.
It is a permanent position with a start date as soon as possible:
Setting and operating CNC Milling and Turning Machines.
- Ideally have a full knowledge of the Fanuc and Masak system & control.
- Setting and operating of manual lathes, millers & drills.
- Jig and fixture making to assist machining
The successful candidate must have previous Engineer / Toolmaker&CNC programming experience using Fanuc and/or Masak operating systems producing low volume, small batch components and to be competent to work on projects independently without supervision. Reporting to the Production Manager they will be responsible for producing machined components by programming, setting and operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines and manual lathes, millers and drills. This is an exciting role in which involves writing codes to input into CNC machines for the design and manufacture of metal award parts. liaising with our 5 designers and often with our 8 account handlers- it is a fast moving environment with everyone working together to meet critical deadlines
The full time candidate holiday entitlement is 20 days per annum, plus bank holidays with 1 extra day per year employed up to a maximum of 4 days.Hours of work are 37.5 hours per week. Hours of work may vary, but standard hours are from 8.30am to 5.00pm with 1 hour for lunch between 1pm and 2pm. It may be necessary on occasions to work outside these hours and Saturday working as and when required
