Responsible for the restoration, repair and complete manufacture of a variety of historic and classic car engines, working to the highest standards of quality as required by our client.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Striping and rebuilding complete engines in line with Company processes and quality standards
  • Fault finding and diagnosis
  • Reading and following complex engineering drawings
  • Constructing sub assemblies
  • Use of measurements tools (hardness check, torque wrenches, thermocouple, pressure sensors, engine timing clock)
  • Attending the Dyno to participate in the testing of completed engines
  • Attending trade shows if required to promote Engine Shop capabilities
  • Accurately record own work and submit a daily timesheet on a timely basis
  • Liaise with the Stores department to obtain parts and consumables, ensuring that Company stock control procedures are followed at all time.
  • Work to project timelines as directed by the Engine Shop Team Leader
  • Liaise with the colleagues within other Group Companies where projects overlap
  • Ensure good standards of customer service when dealing with internal and external customers
  • Accurately complete job sheets and other Company paperwork as required
  • Know and follow Health and Safety Procedures at all times
  • Any other duties as may reasonably be requested

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Qualified Mechanical Engineer
  • Experienced Automotive Engine Builder with a thorough knowledge of Historic/Race Car Engines
