Responsibilities

Anglian Water is about much more than 'just' supplying crucial water and water recycling services, to six million customers across hundreds of square miles. We're developing new and sustainable ways of working - and challenging the way people think about water, through our pioneering 'Love Every Drop' campaign. Join our team and you'll play a key part in turning this vision into a reality - helping us to respond to the challenges ahead, and shape the water company of the future.

To help us to continue on this innovative path we are looking for an Engagement Executive to join our Corporate Affairs team in Huntingdon. In this brand new role, you will report to the Engagement Manager and will be responsible for case managing stakeholder engagement activities across the region.

You will help implement a case management system to manage inbound queries, ensuring they are dealt with effectively to increase customer satisfaction to protect and enhance business reputation.

Key to the role will be your ability to quickly research the issue to find information so that you are able to provide a written response to high-risk issues in a transparent and timely manner. Many of the queries that you will be managing will have been received by our executive management team, and all replies must be of the highest standard and comply with our brand guidelines.

You will help create and maintain an operational engagement map across the organisation to capture stakeholder engagement activities - both reactive and planned.

You will also work closely with our media team to identify opportunities for proactive stakeholder engagement; sharing good news stories with local communities to enhance the company's reputation. You will also deliver a series of site meetings for key parish councils in the region to raise awareness of Anglian Water's operation.

Requirements

Ideally you will be educated to degree level (or equivalent), with a passion for public engagement and customer service. In addition you will also ideally have:

* A strong interest in local affairs, issue management and PR
* Previous experience in a communications and/or customer service role would be advantageous
* The ability to write in a clear, accurate and concise manner with excellent attention to detail
* Strong stakeholder management experience
* The ability to multi-task to tight deadlines and prioritise effectively

Excellent inter-personal skills are essential as you'll be liaising with colleagues, peers and senior management across the business as well as external stakeholders.

The role will require occasional travel throughout the East of England, so a driving licence is required, but you will predominantly be based in Huntingdon.
