Smart Technical Analyst - Energy Provider

Full Time: 37.5 hours a week between 8am-8pm Monday-Sunday

Salary - up to £25,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Sitel Coventry has a fantastic opportunity for enthusiastic SMART Technical Analyst to join our team in the city centre.

The SMART Technical Analyst will be the point of contact for all smart internal/external partnerships in relation to ensuring secure data and systems. You will be accountable as the point of contact and for resolutions related to the monitoring and delivery of information security matters, liaising with experts from functions such as Information Security Management, Site Security, Human Resources, Risk Management, Legal and Compliance where necessary.

The Role

  • Ensure data and information systems are operated to the required standards and maintained accurately and securely.
  • Own/manage all Anomaly Detection Thresholds are determined and assessed to provide an effective means of detecting a compromise to the Enduring Smart Meter Solution, the User Systems and Devices
  • Calculation of Supply Sensitive Check uplifts
  • Responsible for assessing whether any other Service Requests require Threshold Anomaly Detection actions
  • Full ownership of Anomaly Detection Threshold breaches
  • Updating and reviewing Anomaly Detection Thresholds
  • Own/manage the DCC Alerts, Device Alerts, including analysis of Device log
  • Own/manage the processes for applying the Supply Sensitive Check
  • Own/manage the Material Security Vulnerabilities
  • Own/manage any Smart metering DCC governance
  • Calculate/communicate/administer Anomaly Detection Thresholds
  • Own/manage business journey questions, portfolio parameters and uplifts
  • Identify and manage operational and regulatory risks, escalating as appropriate
  • Research and recommend new services and or/service providers to bring efficiencies and/or support the growth of the smart programme
  • Seek out opportunities to drive and implement continuous improvements in performance, compliance and process.
  • Use insight and data to make recommendations for improvement and provide feedback on performance
  • Assist in the design, development and delivery of events/workshops to share information and build knowledge and deliver change across the business
  • Apply and promote Green Star Energy values in all day to day activities

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • At least 3 years’ utilities (Gas/Electricity) experience
  • Proven experience of Business Analysis
  • Ability to interpret numerical and written data to identify key issues, trends, establish links, impacts consequences and areas of opportunity
  • Microsoft Office proficient
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
  • Excellent organisation skills with the ability to drive performance and self-manage
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to influence others
  • Be an energetic team player, who can operate comfortably with their colleagues
  • Strong relationship building/management and stakeholder skills and the ability to drive Able to deliver operational key performance and compliance metrics and effectively communicate these to others
