We are looking to recruit an FM sector experienced Energy Manager to work with the operations and maintenance teams in providing Energy auditing and management on the Facilities Management contracts across the North West and North of England. This will involve providing Energy and Building asset surveys including BMS and plant room controls etc.
The role is a permanent position paying circa 38-42k depending on skills and qualification level. Plus circa 7k car allowance.
You will develop and manage a strategic approach to the FM contracts sustainability, including improving energy efficiency, BMS/HVAC management and initiating schemes to lower the carbon footprint of each facility and contract.
You will be responsible for reviewing bids and tenders within its facilities management portfolio and have the opportunity to decide priorities and influence how our client instigates this across the contracts. Candidates will have an excellent understanding of the principles of sustainability, M&E / HVAC Control and a background which should include engineering (mechanical and electrical), facilities management and maintenance.
To be successful in this role, you will have an understanding of processes and energy/FM markets; experience of working in the field of energy management or waste reduction management; be able to lead and motivate a team and build effective relationships with internal stakeholders and external agencies, consultants and contractors. You will also have demonstrable experience of managing complex maintenance contracts within budget and to an agreed programme and be experienced in delivering bids and tenders and the generation on the documents.
The role requires you to be a former engineer with experience in BMS and/or HVAC controls, applied to the FM / Maintenance sector of large scale facilities.
