Our client in Chelmsford are looking to recruit an Energy and Contracts Manager to cover Maternity leave on a temporary basis.
Working in the City Centre we are looking for a dynamic, methodical, driven manager who is able to organise and manage a small team in relation to facilities and energy off site. This role is Monday - Friday, 9-5pm and will start as soon as possible. Having your own transport is key as you will be required to visit site.
The main purpose of the role will be to managing the help-desk on a day to day basis ensuring maintenance requests are actioned and the relevant teams are updated on progress whilst liaising with the Energy and Contracts Officer.
Duties will include working with the Procurement Team, managing the receipt and payment of supplier invoices, managing the database on supply usage and facilities suppliers, monitoring energy and water databases to identify trends and exceptions, liaising with accounts, writing and delivering reports, assisting surveyors on new building works, alterations and refurbishments, and management of a small team on a day to day basis.
It is essential that you have the either a technical or management qualification in order to be able to attend site and understand the works that need addressing.
If you are a member of the Energy Institute or an equivalent professional qualification in building services this was be an advantage.
Experience of energy management is key, along with being able to demonstrate budget management and implementation of new projects.
