Enablement Manager, Dorset

£27,000-£30,000 per annum

We are seeking an experienced Enablement Manager who can motivate 3-6 new teams of Support Workers to make a difference to the lives of the people we support in Dorset.

The position of Enablement Manager is a front-line leadership role within a supported living environment. You will be responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day operations, including recruiting and managing staff teams, managing budgets and ensuring that the quality of the services provided meets national care standards, in line with our company ethos and values. You will demonstrate excellent leadership and communicative skills.

PBS4 is passionate about supporting people with learning disabilities with bespoke support services to enable them to live the life they want. PBS4 are looking for like minded people to work with the people we support to enable them to achieve aspects of their lives that they might not be able to achieve on their own. You will need to be creative and self directed being open to change and challenges, but also be able to follow clear processes and manage the team to deliver high quality support.

As an Enablement Manager you will work closely with the Positive Behaviour Support Clinician to design and deliver quality support that meets the needs of the people we support. You will generally work Monday to Friday, 9am- 5pm. However, you will be expected to be part of an on call rota and you may be required to cover shifts if required

Key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Ensuring management and delivery of high quality support

  • Leadership and Management of teams and services

  • Service audit, evaluation and development

  • Managing finances and resources

  • Staff Management and support

  • Working with housing associations and enabling housing needs to be met

General Responsibilities

  • Ensuring person and their family are central to support planning

  • Rota management

  • Ensuring payroll data is correct

  • Recruitment

  • Ensuring the team are compliant with all mandatory training and e-learning

  • Support planning and risk management

  • Ensuring health and safety

  • Ensuring personalised support plans are delivered and goals are achieved

  • Governance and quality assurance

  • Ensuring safe administration of medication

  • Supervision of team members and coordinating team meetings

  • Ensuring high quality record keeping and documentation

  • Ensuring safeguarding adults procedures are adhered to

  • Providing support that is compliant with CQC regulatory standards

  • Ensuring health needs are met and proactively managed

  • Ensuring communication needs are understood, met, and developed

  • Working in partnership with professionals, agencies and families

  • Actively seeking feedback from people we support, families, commissioners, and other stakeholders

  • Ensuring teams are reflective and learning

Ideally you will hold a Level 5 Qualification in Health and Social care or equivalent, for exceptional candidates we can consider support to achieve this.
