Employment Coordinator - Manchester

We have a fantastic opportunity for a self-motivated and creative individual to join our passionate and dynamic team based in Manchester as an Employment Coordinator. You will be joining us on a fixed term contract for 12 months.

In this role you will support people with a learning disability to develop vocational skills and experience and to access and maintain paid employment. Ideally you will have experience of working with employers to secure opportunities for both paid employment and work experience and will be confident working towards targeted outcomes. The ability to meet contractual needs and targets, maintain accurate and up to date records using IT based systems is also essential.

You will provide practical support to individuals to achieve the goals identified in their agreed plan. You will provide both one on one and group support in a variety of settings providing training, support and mentoring to the individual.

• Job Coaching

• Travel Training

• Interview support / Training

• Employer engagement

• Liaising with Support Workers & Carers

Key skills & Experiences:

• Experience supporting people is highly desirable but not essential.

• Knowledge of Learning Disability would be advantageous.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills is essential.

• Must be flexible to changing working environments.

• Willingness to undergo additional training as and when required.

This is a fantastic opportunity to positively help people with a learning disability and challenge attitudes towards learning disability as a whole.

A UK driving licence and access to a car are essential for this role.
