Employer Engagement Manager

Job purpose

The role of the Regional Sales Manager is to identify, locate and engage with businesses that employ young people aged 16 to 24 and to encourage them to take on Apprentices as part of their sustained employment practices and to use Interserve Learning & Employment as the sole provider of such young people, ideally on a regular basis. In doing this growing the capacity of employers we work with to generate greater opportunity to place young Apprentices. The Regional Sales Manager will successfully build relationships with people who influence decisions on people strategies, with a view to influencing their agenda to reflect an Apprentice Strategy choosing us as their provider of choice. They will also be responsible for the overall performance of the regional sales team. Successful candidates will have the ability to influence, will be passionate and have the ability to successfully network in local regions. We are looking for innovative, dynamic, target driven people to add value through the Apprenticeship agenda.

Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 per annum depending on skills and experience

Closing date: Friday 2nd March


Knowledge skills & experience

The Essential Requirements we are looking for as a minimum:

  • Successful sales or recruitment experience
  • Successful proven achievements of sourcing and closing new business opportunities successfully with targets met or exceeded
  • Proven track record of commercial revenue generation with documented performance against target
  • Experience in leading a sales team, inspiring success and the realization of potential
  • Successful proven achievements in generating new business leads which lead to sustainable business opportunities
  • Experience in field based sales
  • Knowledge and application of relevant selling techniques
  • The ability to build and present sales pitches confidently
  • Knowledge of vocational training, the Skills Industry and funding requirements

Experience in influencing people and the ability to be able to build strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
