We are looking for an Employee Relations Specialist to work in our Head office team in Deeside. You will ideally be CIPD qualified or working towards this with an employee relations background. You will be used to dealing with senior stakeholders and be confident in your approach in dealing with HR policies and procedures. We are a small but busy and fast paced HR team and are looking for the right team player to join us. If this sounds like you then please read on.

PURPOSE OF ROLE:

To provide a full Employee Relations advisory service to stakeholders through expert knowledge and effective coaching. Ensure a consistent and confident approach in the application of HR policies and procedures. Contribute to the development of the HR team in ER issues.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

To provide a high standard of advice and guidance on ER issues in accordance with operational and legislative requirements

To provide, maintain and update appropriate ER training materials/monthly reports to HR and line managers.

To ensure line managers have a clear understanding of core employment policies and procedures

To coach stakeholders in the skills they require to manage ER issues effectively

To provide advice on business-critical activity e.g. closures, restructures, merges, acquisitions

To be accountable for the efficient management of tribunal and early conciliation claims

To participate in project work as required

To deliver ER training sessions as required

KEY MEASURES:

Consistent and legally compliant ER practices in place, underpinned by robust company policies

The maximisation of learnings taken from cases

Improved compliance on ER issues

Collation and analysis of data e.g. disciplines, redundancies and continuous education of line managers

QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE

3 years previous retail or HR experience

Generalist background with a good understanding of employment law

Proven training and development experience

Proven Coaching abilities

Ideally CIPD qualified or working towards

Desirable - Previous experience of Tribunals / Acas Early Conciliation
