Employability Coach - West Suffolk College -Bury St Edmunds - Fixed Term Contract for 1 year- £18,054 to £20,145 Pro Rata depending on experience, 37hours per week 42 weeks of the year, Term Time only.

Role Responsibilities

This opportunity will be to join our Supported Learning Team, working with students with SEND as a job coach. You will be required to assist students who are on a supported internship or pathway to employment study programme to gain work and employment skills.

The successful applicant will be required to travel to a variety of local employer's premises and provide support for both the employers and students by facilitating individualised 'on the job' training.

Required qualifications, skills and experience

  • Level 4 qualification or above.
  • Level 2 in English and Maths.
  • Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS) qualification would be desirable.
  • Level 2/3 Learning Support qualification or the willingness to work towards achieving one.
  • This role will require the successful applicant to have the ability to work in a way that promotes the safety and wellbeing of all students, especially children, young people and vulnerable adults.
