We are looking to appoint a passionate, enthusiastic, motivated and dynamic Nurse with three or more years A&E experience or Acute care who is ready for the next step into a Band 6 combined role.
Applicants ideally will have experience of coordination/ shift leader in a busy Emergency Department or had previous managerial experience in an acute setting. They must also display excellent communication skills, be confident in their abilities to effectively co-ordinate and ensure the smooth running of the department on a daily basis with leadership qualities. In addition you will assist the team leaders with the management of a team of nurses carrying out HR duties such as sickness management, holiday management and performance.
As the Band Six Nurse practitioner you will be expected to provide care and treatment to children with injuries attending the Emergency Department. This includes being clinically proficient in skills associated with this position for which training will be delivered to enable you to provide holistic care.
Applicants must self- motivated and ready to develop their management skills within a supportive, empowering department.
