LOCATION OF WORK: Flexible working is offered.

A thirty-man electronics business in Bristol requires an Embedded Software Engineer with strong Embedded C and PIC microcontroller experience to join its R&D team.

In this role you will be working closely with the Electronics Engineer, Mechanical Engineer and Front-end Developer.

As all design and manufacturing happens onsite in Bristol you will also have opportunity to work closely with the Manufacturing staff also.

You will be working on low power remote control systems which provide aesthetics to commercial, events and hospitality sectors.

Your initial role will be to take an existing product and develop it again from a blank codebase. The new product development you will be working on will use new technology and new serial communication protocols to communicate. One of the versions of the product will use a new touchscreen interface, the other version will use a web configuration interface. You will have opportunity to develop both versions.

For this role you should have experience working on real-time embedded microcontroller developments from concept to manufacture.

With lots of customer demand for their products (from customers all over the globe), there is lots of project development work on offer.

The company has recently taken the decision to bring inhouse all its future embedded software development which makes it a very exciting time to join the company. It is expected the embedded software team will grow further in the next 6-12 months.

Working on varied project work and fast paced product developments (where you see the product get manufactured on site) makes this role appealing to an Embedded Software who likes to be involved in full product developments.
