A design consultancy that develop complex electronic hardware for clients in multiple markets worldwide are looking for an Electronic Engineer with consultancy experience to join their team, working on both business development and bespoke electronics design to meet customer requirements.
The company offers Electronic Engineers the chance to work across industries such as Aerospace, Automotive, Medical, Energy, Defence and many more. As a consultant you will be responsible for meeting clients and gathering their requirements, learning about their projects, and subsequently "selling" your design plans and ideas in order to "win" the project over other consultancies.
As an Electronics Engineer you will be required to travel approximately 15-20% of the time, manage projects, but also be very technically hands on within the design process. You will need a strong technical background, as well as the desire to pursue business development and manage your own projects from start to finish.
Due to the nature of this position candidates will need to be British.
Requirements of the Electronics Engineer
- Good degree in Electronics Engineering of related degree.
- Experience/desire to work in a consultancy environment
- Experience in the full life cycle of electronic product development
- Schematic capture and PCB layout experience
- Experience of FPGA/ASIC
- Safety critical hardware development
- Hardware and software integration
