We are supporting an industry leading business in the search for an Electronics Design Engineer to join thir team. The main purpose of the role will be to ensure that all new product development for the Company’s products requiring electronic sub-assemblies are designed, tested, and comply with the specification required and that all related documents are completed correctly.
Main duties
- To design electronic systems that require multiple motor drives with simultaneous control
- Perform the mathematics necessary to achieve curve fits to match measured microwave performance
- Calculate required encoder accuracies to achieve specified resolution on microwave instruments
- Carry out circuit design to implement EEPROM systems suitable for storing the curve fits
- Develop algorithms for implementing correction factors for electronically controlled microwave instruments
- Design linear actuator systems
- Design electronic motor controllers
- Maintain & enhance existing product designs
- Assess test technician with diagnosing faulty equipment
- Work with managers and supervisors to implement the Company’s policies and business objectives
- Make a positive contribution to maintaining a workplace that is healthy, safe, neat, and tidy
- Carry out any other duties reasonable within capability as required by the Company
Person Specification
- Degree or masters in electronics engineering
- Experience of specifying and designing closed band open loop stepper motor control systems
- Experience of specifying and designing servo control systems
- Experience of designing and implementing controls and graphics on displays
- Experience of designing PCB’s
- Able to work under own imitative
- Flexible, courteous, friendly, and positive approach
- Discretion, confidentiality, and professionalism at all times
- Eligible to work in UK
On offer is a salary between £35,000 and £45,000 DOE
