Electronic Design Team Leader - RF Electronics - Devon - AH90

My client, who is a market leader in design and development of Photonics and Optical Technologies now requires a Senior Electronics Design Engineer to join their rapidly expanding electronics department.
The successful candidate will be responsible for system-level design and engineering of electronic products, across their full life-cycles, developed for use in space.
Electronics design duties will include:
- Design of electronic circuits and sub-systems.
- Space-qualified hi-reliability component selection.
- Requirements analysis, sensitivity analysis, reliability analysis and parts stress analysis.
- Ensuring your Design and Analysis meet all relevant Industry Standards.
- Ensure customer requirements are met; conducting customer meetings and presentations at every stage of the project.
You will also be working with optical, mechanical and software engineers to achieve further product development, through R&D projects to meet customer requirements.
Although you will be based at the Devon facility, a small amount of travel to other sites, customers or suppliers will be required. It is expected this will amount to less than 5% of your time.
The successful candidate must have experience in the design and development of electronics for Photonics, Optics, Aerospace and Defence and would be expected to have full product life cycle experience.
Candidates are expected to be familiar with ESA/ECSS standards, Lab Test Equipment and NPD development.
A familiarity with PADS Layout Programming and Scripting Languages such as Python, TCL would be an advantage.
Candidates MUST hold a full clean UK Driving Licence, as travel may be required to other UK sites.
Candidates MUST be eligible to work and live in the UK. Copies of Passports and Visas will be requested for verification.
