Electronic Design Engineer
Location: Stevenage (Hybrid - typically 2-3 days per week on-site)
Salary: Up to £48,000
Are you an Electronics Design Engineer looking for a hands-on technical challenge within a leading defence engineering environment? We're seeking a skilled engineer to join an established electronic design team delivering high-integrity analogue and digital solutions across complex, safety-critical systems.
The Role
As an Analogue & Digital Design Engineer, you'll take ownership of board-level electronic design - from concept and schematic capture through prototyping, functional testing, and product proving. You'll collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of electronics within wider systems, applying best-practice design and verification techniques to achieve exceptional product reliability and performance.
Key Responsibilities • Lead schematic capture, circuit simulation, prototyping and test activities for electronic boards. • Apply design assurance techniques such as DFMEA and support through-life product validation and quality assurance. • Engage with internal engineering teams to ensure successful electronic integration within wider systems. • Contribute to ongoing R&D and continuous improvement initiatives across the electronic engineering function.
Skills & Experience • Proven experience in analogue and/or digital electronic design. • Strong understanding of board-level design, test and integration. • Knowledge of a range of electronic technologies and components. • Ability to work effectively within multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
