Electrician Location: Greenwich, London
Rate: £30 - £32.94 P/H CIS/Umbrella

The Role:

We're looking for a skilled Electrician to join a Building Services team on a short-term project. You'll be carrying out a variety of electrical works across domestic properties, ensuring all jobs meet current quality and safety standards.

  • Carry out a wide range of electrical repairs, installations, and maintenance tasks in domestic properties.
  • Certify completed work and ensure compliance with NICEIC or equivalent regulations.
  • Use and maintain testing equipment, taking appropriate action in emergencies.
  • Set out work from drawings and supervise up to 5 colleagues, apprentices, or trainees when required.
  • Liaise with residents, client officers, and admin staff regarding work orders and variations.
  • Keep accurate records of works, materials, and stock.
  • Use handheld IT equipment for recording and reporting tasks.
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with Health & Safety legislation and Council procedures.
  • Participate in emergency call-outs and Borough emergencies if required.
The Candidate:

You'll be an experienced and qualified electrician with a strong understanding of domestic electrical systems. You take pride in your workmanship and have a commitment to safety, accuracy, and excellent customer service.

  • City & Guilds 2391 - Inspection & Testing (or equivalent).
  • 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience using electrical test equipment and completing NICEIC certification.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
