Electrical Trainer & Assessor

We are looking for an Electrical Trainer & Assessor to join our Training team based at our training centre in Dunstable. The successful applicant will be responsible for developing, preparing, conducting & evaluating electrical training programmes. They will write the literature, materials & exercises to be used within the programmes to enhance learning & develop the training.

This is a permanent full-time role, working 37.5 hours per week with a salary to be discussed with the successful candidate between £30,000 - £35,000 per annum.

Key Accountabilities

  • Prepare and conduct technical training programmes, ensuring the readiness of all course materials and equipment prior to delivery (course outlines, background material, instructional materials, and training aids)

  • Assess candidates to awarding organisation standards

  • Assess training needs and certification requirements

  • Ensure the quality and consistency of course content throughout a course life cycle

  • Manage the training program in accordance with business needs, regulatory requirements, and quality management systems

  • Ensure appropriate records and systems are maintained.

  • Record all assessment information and give feedback to candidates, sharing relevant information with other managers regarding candidate progress and barriers to progression

What we are looking for

  • Good standard of education including an electrical qualification

  • PTLLS & assessor qualifications (or equivalent)

  • Previous experience working as an electrical trainer, with knowledge of electric engineering principles & assessment procedures, and the ability to communicate with a range of learners on both theoretical and practical aspects of the relevant subject area

  • An understanding of the utility industr

  • Computer literate with ability to use Microsoft Office and email
