Are you an Electrical Technician looking for an interesting new position?
We are looking to recruit an Electrical Technician for our Bedford based client to be responsible for leading and supporting the day to day serviceability, reliability and availability of electrical service/equipment.
You will be reporting to the Electrical Services Manager and your main duties will include:
- Install new electrical services and maintain/enhance existing services. Such installations must be in accordance with current IEE regulations and will be undertaken in a safe manger
- Undertake fixed installation/wiring testing and to conduct fault finding of all electrical services and systems
You will be working on voltage ranges include: 11KV, 3.3KV, 415V, 110V, 24V on the AC system and 110V and 24V on the DC systems. There is also a requirement to work on different types of inverter motor drive systems.
The successful applicant will possess:
- a time-served Apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering equivalent to NVQ3.
- ONC/HNC (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering.
Hours of work are 06:30-14:30 and 14:00-22:00 alternating weeks, Monday to Friday. However, you are required to be flexible with regard to your working hours because as and when business conditions dictate it may be necessary to introduce a day shift or extended shift arrangements.
