Electrical Project Engineer Manufacturing

The Company

My client, an industry leader in the FMCG sector based in Stockton on Tees, is looking to add to it's successful Engineering team by recruiting an experienced and qualified Electrical Project Engineer.

The Role

Job Purpose:
To manage all elements of Electrical Engineering Project work from planning, design, to installation and commissioning. Install and commission Electrical Process Control equipment and associated Software.
Responsibilities:
* Design, review and modification of electrical drawings.
* Provide Plant technical support.
* Lead initiatives, problem solving and Installation of new processes.
Principal Activities:
* Liaise with Department Managers, maintenance and production personnel.
* Liaise with external contractors and equipment manufacturers.
* Provide fault-finding support and investigation to improve production processes.
* Complete any necessary reports and feedback to Engineering Manager.
* Project work, including commissioning and developing organisational relationships.
* Reports to Engineering Manager.

The Candidate

Qualifications & Educational/Vocational training:
* 4 year Apprenticeship in Electrical/Instrumentation
* HNC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
* 17th Edition IEE Regulations
Personal Attributes:
* Organised and capable of handling issues independently.
* Ability to communicate at all levels
* Analytical, problem solving
* Confident and able to work under pressure
* Flexible - must be able to work across the plant

Skills Required

Practical Experience:
* Broad and good electrical background, preferably with a background in web handling.
* Familiar with Schneider and Siemens PLC's.
* Experience of MODSOFT, CONCEPT, UNITY PRO, SIEMENS S5 and S7 software.
* Appreciation/experience of Instrumentation, Process Control, including Modbus Plus, Ethernet Comms and HMI's.
* Experience of DC Drive Control Systems.
Hands on experience gained within a fast moving, established manufacturing plant, electrical and instrumentation control, including pneumatic and hydraulic circuits.

Job details

Remuneration

£40 000 - 45 000 per annum
25 days holiday

Hours of work

8am - 4.30pm Monday to Friday
