Electrical Maintenance Technician

Salary - £26,000 - £32,000

25 days hol + bank hol + pension + healthcare

Global engineering business are looking for an additional multiskilled maintenance technician with an electrical bias to join the maintenance engineering team based in Wrexham working days and nights on a rotating shift pattern with overtime always available, working in a position where within 3 months of service you can expect promotion.

Coming with an HNC or equivalent having completed a recognised certificated electrical apprenticeship with significant experience in an industrial maintenance field, including fault finding on electronic drive and PLC control systems

Duties include planned, preventative and corrective maintenance, continuous improvement initiatives and project work.

As Electrical Maintenance Technician you will:

  • Diagnose, fault find, service and repair Medium and Heavy industrial plant and machinery
  • Completing preventative maintenance checks and inspections
  • Develop and implement modifications to improve reliability of plant and machinery
  • Working across a team of electrical and mechanical engineers
  • Working to a continuous shift pattern with necessary overtime


  • PLC, instrumentation and electronic drives
  • Using software to interface or diagnose faults on plant and machinery
  • Maintenance on large AC and DC motors
  • Risk assessment and safety awareness
  • Machine and Plant lock off procedures
  • The ability to work from engineering and schematic drawings
  • Significant experience in an industrial maintenance field


  • HNC educated or equivalent or above
  • Completed recognised, certificated electrical apprenticeship
