 REED Engineering & Manufacturing are working with a leading Manufacturer with a global client base


To help deliver the asset care plan & provide a World Class maintenance support to the site, which includes; assisting the maintenance management team in complying with all H&S responsibilities, legal compliance, delivering efficiencies, continuous in respect of production/packaging, services, buildings and all other ancillary equipment.

Deliver timely first line response and quality remedial countermeasures to breakdowns, inefficient performance and all identifiable waste streams.


Previous experience of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems, and planned maintenance schedule development.

Familiarity with Individual/team/departmental/Site KPIs and an ability to analyse data from various sources.

A good organiser with a methodical approach to work

Excellent inter-personal skills and a good communicator, both verbally and written

A working knowledge of CMMS systems

An ambitious individual who wants to succeed and be developed in areas of modern maintenance practices in order to apply these skills within the company

Open minded to change and willing to take on new ideas.

Competent in the use and issue of permit to work systems, Isolation procedures, SSOW’s, RA’s & MS’s

5 years’ experience working in a front line maintenance role, in a FMCG environment and carrying out planned preventative maintenance activities.

A good level of knowledge, and practical experience in motors, inverters, electro-pneumatics, hydraulics, drives/gearboxes, pumps & seals, conveyor systems, services etc.

Time served engineering apprenticeship (or equivalent).

City and Guilds electrical ONC/B-TEC (or equivalent).

Weekend Team

Part of the 5 person weekend maintenance support team
Flexible pattern, which will include 12hrs Sat and 12hrs Sun plus either a Friday or Monday (dependant upon priorities)
32 hour contract (2 x 12 hour shifts + 1 x 8 hour shift)
Small proportion of role is to support Reactive production cover
Majority of time spent on Planned or Proactive Maintenance activities
Responsible for production line packaging lines and Paint process
Electrical fault finding response but expected to work cross-functionally on mechanical issues as part of the team
Expected to work a reasonable amount of overtime when requested – both in week and weekends
