Electrical Maintenance Engineers

Weekend Shift Engineer
Friday to Monday 0700 to 1700
£35k plus overtime at 1.5.
28 days holiday, pro rata(22.5) rising to 33 days pro rata after 5 years

The purpose of this role is to ensure the production plant and equipment operate at optimum efficiency and effectiveness and in a safe manner in order to achieve product quality and production targets and the maintenance of a safe working environment.

The Role:
·Provision of breakdown support to the production team working on equipment that includes presses/slicers /Multivac Thermoformers and end of line packaging equipment - metal detectors conveyors etc.
·Planning and implementation of planned maintenance schedules
·Liaise with Planning and Production teams to ensure that planned maintenance schedules can be actioned in a timely manner.
·Respond promptly to machine breakdown and in order to minimise machine downtime
·Use C-works to log all engineering/maintenance activities
·Work closely with Production Team leaders and Production Managers to provide engineering support, breakdown resolution, machine setting and modifications
·Must be computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft packages
·Be able to work both autonomously and as part of a team.
·Have excellent analytical and organisation skills

City & Guilds /ONC/HNC/HND Electrical/mechanical with proven engineering knowledge and experience. The role would suit candidates with an understanding of packaging line production processes and refrigeration processes, although not essential.
