Our client is an established Mechanical & Electrical contractor in the commercial, industrial, and high end housing sector in Thames Valley & London. They have a turnover of around £8 million with a good order book stretching well into 2019.

Due to continued expansion of the Electrical Division, they are seeking an experienced, senior level, Estimating Manager, to tender electrical projects up to a value of £500k. The majority of these projects are commercial in nature but there also include residential and public sector packages from time to time.

The ideal candidate will be able to work with autonomy, utilising electrical wholesale suppliers to maximise efficiency in a cost effective but responsible way, allowing our client to make solid project margins whilst earning repeat business.

You will have a good track record in the electrical business with good commercial awareness and product knowledge as well as strong awareness of wholesale pricing and discount structures. You should also have good client liaison skills with the ability to generate more potential work with existing and new customers.

In return, our client will offer a great a salary, annual profit share and benefits package that is tailored to your experience and future development as an Estimating Manager in the electrical business. Working hours are generally from 8.30 to 5PM with some flexibility when travelling to and from site.

This is an interesting and varied role with a growing, independent company and would suit an individual who can work of their own initiative to achieve positive, profit making tenders and be rewarded generously for doing so.
