SITE SERVICES ELECTRICIAN

A vacancy has arisen for a Site Services Electrician, based in Widnes, Cheshire, working on a rotating weekly shift pattern: 06:00-14:00 and 14:00-22:00.

Responsibilities

  • Responding to reactive breakdowns.
  • Fault finding, problem-solving, and repairing production machinery to maximise reliability and performance.
  • Conducting planned preventative maintenance on electrical plant equipment and components.
  • Providing on-shift electrical support to the maintenance/engineering team.
  • General site electrical maintenance, including lighting checks, minor installations, and repairs.
  • Monitoring and controlling electrical spares.

This role involves some physical activity, including manual handling, negotiating steps/ladders, and working at height with open-mesh floor walkways. PPE must be worn as required.

Skills & Experience

  • Time-served electrical maintenance engineer.
  • Experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematic drawings and technical manuals.
  • Proficiency in fault finding on automated systems, including PLC logic (ideally Siemens), inverter drives, three-phase motors, and control systems.
