Our client is global manufacturer of specialised products to the marine and power industries.

An opportunity has now arisen for an Electrical Engineer to join their growing team on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an Electrical Engineer who is looking for their new opportunity.

Role:

As an Electrical Engineer with our client, you will negotiate with the company’s current suppliers whilst sourcing new competitive suppliers. Managing projects that are both in-house and subcontracted will be a big part of your role, as well as preparing quotations, managing staff, adhering to your targets and quality systems. As this role is customer facing you will also be required to travel within the UK and globally to meet business needs.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Be a time served electrician or equivalent with experience in a similar environment

  • Have an HNC or equivalent in engineering

  • Marine engineering electrical experience would be desirable however isn’t essential

  • Experienced in electrical panel design history or intense panel URS specification writing and procurement, installation and commissioning

  • Have experience in general industrial automation and/or power generation control and monitoring

  • Have previously used Eplan and 2d Autocad

  • Possess ATEX and EX electrical systems training

  • Be able to fault find on customer sites and create SCADA and HMI screens

  • Previous experience in electrical systems sales, quote preparations and negotiation
