As an Electrical Design Engineer you will be tasked with the development of electrical schematics and wire harness assemblies for a well recognised manufacturer of bespoke equipment for the consumer goods market. The business has a relatively small development team so the role would best suit a practical Electrical / Electronic engineer looking for the variety of office based Design, together with Build, Assembly & Test on the shop floor.
Role & Responsibilities:
*Create & maintain Electrical Wiring Schematic Diagrams
*Design Wire Harnesses and Cable assembly drawings.
*Build & test prototype Wire Harness assemblies.
*Oversee the CE directive responsibilities for given products.
*In house and third party Laboratory EMC testing
*Maintain Bills of Materials
*Generate and issue production ready drawings, including schematics and detailed manufacturing / engineering drawings.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
oElectrically Qualified to a minimum of Level 3 BTEC, NVQ or equivalent
oExperience with wiring schematic creation and construction of wire harness assemblies.
oExperience in 2D CAD and power supply management
oGood attention to detail with a genuine interest in product development from concept to release stage.
