This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Electrical Craft Apprentice to join our passionate and knowledgeable Engineering Team and start their apprenticeship. This exciting role will see you developing technical skills on the job as part of our Electrical team and gaining formal qualifications from college. We have successfully trained apprentices in the past who are still part of the team.
The engineering team works at the heart of the Newark plant, driving maintenance activities, projects, improvements and also reacting to breakdowns.
What will you be doing in the role?
In the role as Electrical Craft Apprentice you will;
- Be part of a team of qualified crafts/engineers.
- Learn engineering skills on the job to NVQ level 3.
- Gain a qualification to HNC level minimum through day release at college.
- Learn about the plant and maintenance activities.
- Take part in world class manufacturing projects.
- Develop skills to become one of our engineers in the future.

For the Electrical Craft Apprentice specifically it is important that you have:
- A strong interest in the subject.
- Ideally we would like candidates to have already completed their NVQ Level 2.
- At least a B in 3 GCSEs (including mathematics and science or another technical subject, as a minimum) - or a 5 in the new scoring criteria.
- Personal attributes will include drive, determination, energy and enthusiasm.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
