The right candidate will have the capability to design, build and install automated equipment as well as testing, commissioning and progressing from conception to completion.
This role comes with a strong possibility of overseas travel for period of 2 or more weeks at a time.
The role will consist of:
*Taking machine design concepts and creating a functional control overview of the machine
*Designing electrical schematics
*Producing a list of cost for materials
*Designing the layout and building control cabinets, operator stations and enclosures
*Interconnect the controls, switches and sensors to the control panel
*Connecting a variety of motors to the control motor
*The capability to work with various PLC brands such as Mitsubishi and Allen Bradley
*Working knowledge of RS232, RS485 and Ethernet etc.
*Communication between PLC's and peripherals
*Inverter drives and load cell interfacing
Part of the role will include the installation and commissioning of all equipment that has been manufactured in the UK, hence the overseas travel for periods of 2-4 weeks at a time.
The right candidate will ideally have a HNC in Electrical Engineering and experience in a heavy industrial environment.
