My client is looking for an Electrical Design Engineer or Intermediate in the Building Services sector to work on a variety of projects designing electrical systems. An ideal opportunity for a junior engineer in the Liverpool area to be hands on planning and co-ordinating projects and applying good judgement in the evaluation, selection and adaptation of design solutions. You will get involved in projects from the earliest stages; this includes initial concept design, tender and feasibility, taking it through the detailed design stages before being handed over to the client.
You will be working with large developers on key projects in the Manchester area, currently the accumulated build costs in their order-book totals over £2BN. These will include alot of developments with Allied London. Projects, past and present, include St Michaels Development; Manchester, NOMA Masterplan, Angel Gardens; Manchester and more.
With the modern methods of engineering, and professional consultancies focussing on performing complex analysis using computer modelling software, it is an essential requirement that have had exposure of making, reading and interpreting technical data that is produced. Knowledge of industry software such as; Amtech, Dialux, Relux, AutoCad, Revit will be essential. We are also looking for someone with the capabilities to project manage the process in the future through tight time constraints and be hands on design, whilst being one of many points of contact for the client.
It is not essential, but it is an advantage if you are a member of a professional body - (IET, CIBSE). Being recognised as Chartered is not essential. You will be given the help to develop this and given a mentor if required to help you become that status. What we are looking for is a candidate who is a good communicator, verbally and in the written form. Dealing with clients, fellow team members and writing reports will be an integral part of your role.
