Oakley Recruitment is working in partnership with a rapidly growing group, who take the lead in their market. This is an excellent opportunity to join this expanding group as a Test Lab Technician.
Summary
Working alongside the technical team testing a range of products
Duties & Responsibilities
- Conducting testing and fault finding on a range of different products, both electrical and mechanical
- Running, managing and delivering multiple testing projects and workloads in a professional and timely manner
- Reporting findings to stakeholders at multiple levels in a clear and concise manner
- Being comfortable working in a test lab environment using a range of different test equipment and techniques
- Conducting electrical and performance testing as well as mechanical testing.
- Being electrically biased but able to adjust to change needs and assess situations critically and have a flexible approach to how testing can be conducted
- Being involved in lab improvement and development as well as development and expansion of testing procedures, techniques and abilities
Skills and experience
- Engineering background
- Experience within a similar role
- An understanding of both domestic and commercial electrical installations
- Strong ability to interpret drawings and technical documents
- Strong knowledge of metrology, inspection method and equipment
- An understanding of BS/EN standards within the electrical industry
- Excellent skills to use the Microsoft Office package (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

- Monday - Friday 37.5 hours 8.30am - 5pm
