One of CRA's clients, a multi-service law firm are looking to recruit an EL/PL litigator to join there ever expanding personal injury team. The firm is a non-profit, forwarding thinking and growing law firm.
*Handling a case load of accident personal injury cases from portal exit to settlement
*Working to team and individual targets and ensuring compliance with prescribed SLAs in terms of file progression
*Delivering exceptional client service by keeping clients regularly updated
*Building working relationships with both clients, unions and third parties
*Assisting with the vetting of cases
*Ensuring allegations of fraud, fundamental dishonest or complex issues and multi track claims are passed to the EL/PL supervisor
*Drafting pleadings, application notices, disclosure lists, witness statements, schedules of loss, brief to counsel, trial bundle index, case summary
*To complete internal forms for defence review, witness statement exchange and authority to proceed to trial
*To attend Court (personally or by way of telephone) and perform advocacy for Case Management Conferences, Application Hearings and Pre-Trial Reviews
*To value PI claims competently & utilising JSB guidelines/case law where appropriate; to effectively investigate, collate/calculate and present special damages claims (including future loss)
*Minimum 2 years EL/PL litigation experience is essential including settlement and fast track litigation
*Experience of delivering against agreed targets and working to deadlines is essential
*Strong understanding of current EL/PL PI procedures and Rules is essential
*Proactive and client centric approach
*Able to work with considerable amount of detailed information
*Positive attitude and can-do approach
