About Pearson

We are the world’s leading learning company. At Pearson, we’re committed to a world that’s always learning. From bringing lectures vividly to life to turning textbooks into laptop lessons, we are always re-examining the way people learn best, whether it’s one child in our own backyard or an education community across the globe. We are bold thinkers and standout innovators who motivate each other to explore new frontiers in an environment that supports and inspires us to always be better. By pushing the boundaries of technology — and each other to surpass these boundaries — we create seeds of learning that become the catalyst for the world’s innovations, personal and global, large and small.

About the team

As an educational publisher we create digital and print resources for use by teachers in the classroom and students at home. We publish for the whole range of subjects taught in Secondary and Primary schoolsand Further Education collegesincluding Maths, Science, English, Modern Foreign Languages, Humanities as well as an increasing number of Vocational courses. The process of getting resources to market involves a variety of disciplines, from print and digital content creation and editing, through project management to marketing and testing the products before release. We work collaboratively to create resources which really have impact in classrooms.

About the role

As a graduate trainee you will contribute to the key functions of the business: content development, marketing and user experience design. During the scheme you will receive a comprehensive package of formal and informal training, consisting of ongoing mentoring and specialised training courses. You will learn how we develop strategy, trial ideas and work out how we can deliver products and services to market on time, to quality and within budget. As part of our graduate scheme you willcomplete the Digital Marketer accredited programme which will help enhance your skills, knowledge and behaviours in these disciplines.

Career progression

At the end of your training you will be fully equipped to apply for roles within Pearson in your chosen discipline, in the UK in Oxford or London, or indeed in any of our locations across the globe. Previous graduate trainees have gone on to successful careers in product management/publishing, technology and marketing, up to senior management level.
