Education Support Worker

Are you experienced in working with hard to reach children and young people? We are looking for a confident person who has experience working with disadvantaged children and young people, ideally working with young people who have been in care.

This is for a role on behalf of Halton Council for an Education Support Worker based in Runcorn.

Key features for this exciting role include:
*Joining a virtual school to provide education support for children in care and looked after children.
*The candidate must have evidence of understanding a range of difficulties and how these can impact on their personal learning and the whole school learning environment.
*Ability to identify potential barriers to learning and provide advice and guidance to other professionals on how to develop creative strategies to overcome these barriers.
*Analysing progress data and be able to monitor and track expected progress and be able to implement appropriate additional learning intervention.

The role is a full time position and is initially on a 6 month contact. The pay rate for this role is £14.46 per hour.

Essential Criteria
*Full enhanced DBS
*Experience working with vulnerable children and young people
