Our client is looking for a Part-time Editorial Administrator to join their team to work 3 days (21 hours) per week. The role will involve the effective co-ordination and administration of all aspects of editorial and publications work. You will assist with all activities that enable the delivery and proactive promotion and sales of publications, journals and other editorial material.

This is a part-time position working 3 days per week (21 hours and flexible on days), the salary is £9.89 per hour, the company offers 25 days holiday pro rata, pension, car parking a discretionary annual bonus and annual pay reviews.

Responsibilities will include -

  • Managing administrative tasks in support of the Journal and liaison with SAGE Publishing

  • Sourcing 'news items’ as required for publication in the Journal

  • Securing short articles for publication in the procurement guide

  • Managing the book review process - book reviews are published in the Journal

  • Taking the lead with the production of the Newsletter

  • Dealing with enquiries concerning publishing and editorial issues

  • Co-ordinating and managing book orders, including the dispatch of books and other publications

  • Liaising and corresponding with external agencies as required

  • Maintaining accurate and up to date records, including web site and CRM system

Candidates must have -

  • Strong administration experience

  • Clear, concise and positive communication skills both written and verbal

  • Good IT skills, proficient in MS office and familiar with CRM systems

  • Meticulous attention to detail

  • Ability to manage complex workloads

  • Able to build strong customer / subscriber relationships

  • An awareness of publishing and editorial techniques would be a huge advantage
