Role: Ecologist

Salary: Competitive (£20,000+)

Location: Leeds

My client, a respected multi-disciplinary consultancy, is currently on the lookout for an ambitious and enthusiastic Ecologist to join their team in Leeds.The successful candidate will join a team of Ecology professionals who work closely with colleagues in other disciplines, such as Planning, Landscape and Archaeology.

Role:

As part of this role you will be required to deliver ecological consultancy and mitigation works in a fast moving, client focused commercial environment.

If successful in your application, your role will involve:

  • Carrying out Phase 1 habitat surveys and protected species surveys.
  • Carrying out desk studies, research, data management and analysis.
  • Report writing.
  • Assisting with Environmental Impact Assessments.
  • Assisting senior colleagues and providing support on surveys.

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A degree in Ecology or a related discipline
  • Hold at least on protected species licence
  • Protected species survey experience
  • CIEEM membership
  • A full, UK driving licence
  • Ability to work flexibly and to work unsocial hours
