Old Buckenham Primary School seeks to appoint experienced Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Key Stage 1 Teachers to join our School. The post is suitable for experienced, dedicated and highly motivated teachers looking for a new challenge.

Old Buckenham Primary School is a member of the Sapientia Education Trust (SET), a growing multi-academy trust in the heart of Norfolk, of which Wymondham College is the founding school. This is an exciting opportunity to teach a small class of EY, Y1 and/or Y2 children and to develop your school leadership skills in a picturesque rural school.

General Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be employed as a teacher under the standard conditions of service for teachers at Old Buckenham Primary School.

The teacher will be responsible to the Executive Headteacher, for teaching using his/her skill, experience and best endeavours and in accordance with Teachers’ Standards. He/she will abide by the Code of Conduct for Staff and Volunteers at Old Buckenham Primary School. A contribution to the wider life of the school is an expectation of all staff, for example by supporting the extra-curricular activities within the school.

  • To plan and prepare lessons in order to deliver the EYFS and/ or National Curriculum ensuring breadth and balance in all subjects;

  • To identify clear teaching objectives and learning outcomes, with appropriate challenge and high expectations;

  • To maintain good order and discipline among the pupils, safeguarding their health and safety;

  • To organise and manage groups or individual pupils ensuring differentiation of learning needs, reflecting all abilities, adapting teaching styles to suit all learners and provide a supportive learning environment;
