EAL Teaching Assistant | Leicester | Temporary Position

A local School based in Leicester are currently seeking enthusiastic, dedicated and patient EAL Teaching Assistant to support pupils where English is not there first language. This role starts immediately; you will be working term time, initially on a temporary basis with a view to becoming a permanent post.

You main duty will be to support pupils in the school who may not be able to speak English or are working towards getting their English to the level of their key stage. The successful candidate will be working closely with this EAL pupils on a 1 to 1 basis or in small groups. You will help maintain their development and act as their first point of support.

To be successful you must have recent and relevant experience as teaching assistant, working with children with EAL, either in a voluntary or paid capacity. You must also have a passion for working with primary and secondary aged pupils and be dedicated to making a positive impact on their learning and development. You will have a Level 2 qualification or alternatively extensive experience supporting children in a classroom setting.

You will be offered a position within an excellent school with the opportunity for the post to become permanent. You will be offered a competitive daily rate of pay with the opportunity to undertake further training if required.
