EAL Teaching Assistants - Mainstream Secondary School - Kensington - Immediate Start

We are looking for an EAL/English as a Second language teaching assistant to work within a mainstream secondary school which is located in Kensington. This will start immediately and it will run for the rest of the academic year. A minimum of 6 months classroom based or child related experience is essential. They are ideally looking for a graduate who can speak a second language also.

The role

The role will involve support work within the languages department. You must be a graduate and ideally fluent in a second language. Previous classroom or child related experience has been requested also.

The ideal candidate

To be considered a real asset to the school, you must have:

  • Experience working in a child related environment
  • A graduate who speaks a second language
  • English Language degree ideal but not essential
  • One to one support and group support work
  • Genuine passion in education
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Friendly and professional manor

This is a secondary School which is located in the borough of Kensington. It is within easy reach of a Tube station and Main line station.

The school has academy status, and benefits from state of art equipment.

Its last Ofsted report was excellent.
