E&I Maintenance Technician - 4on 4off Shift based - Commutable from Ellesmere Port, Liverpool, Chester, Bangor, Colwyn - £47k basic & amazing benefits package incl. Flexi time, Fantastic Pension up to 12%

Are you an experienced technician with a strong Electrical and Instrumentation bias looking for the next challenge? Do you have experience in a Hazardous area (COMAH) site, Chemical, Petrochemical or Process background, working with LV systems, Motors, Panels, Instrumentation and ideally some DCS although not essential? Based in North Wales/Cheshire

Main Accountabilities:

  • Maintenance, Fault finding, Troubleshooting, Installation and Repair of Electrical and Instrumentation equipment on site
  • Responding to emergency breakdowns in a COMPEX Environment
  • Carrying out functional safety proof testing procedures across the site
  • Electrical equipment includes, LV systems (415v) Motors, Variable Speed Drives, Control Panels, Pumps, Fans and compressors
  • Instrumentation include pH, Temperature, Flow, Mass Flow, Electro-Magnetic Flow Instrumentation
  • Using Allen Bradley, Rockwell, Rosemount and Endress & Hauser equipment on site
  • Flexibility on shifts

Required skills:

  • Must have Proof Testing Functional Safety experience
  • Must have Electrical and Instrumentation hands on maintenance and repair skills in a hazardous environment (COMAH)
  • Understanding of COMAH procedures and changes to legislation
  • PID Circuit diagram understanding


  • Must have Time served apprenticeship
  • Must have COMPEX 1-4 (Training can be provided for 5-6)
  • City and Guilds relevant qualification a minimum
