THOMAS Recruitment are exclusively recruiting for a Multi Skilled Electrical Technician. Our client, are a world leading cleansing agent manufacturer.

This is a PERMANENT position working Monday to Friday.

The Role

  • To provide support to the existing planning and supervisory functions, with an emphasis and background from an EC&I Perspective, including COMAH, DSEAR (ATEX), Functional Safety and asset management.

  • Supporting the maintenance functions by providing discipline expertise and suitable resource planning, statutory compliance inspection scheduling.

  • Keeping abreast of current legislation and standards to ensure the company is compliant with legislation, standards and best practice. This includes but is not limited to Explosive Atmospheres, Functional Safety Systems, and Power Systems.

  • Ensure adherence to company standards and policies for EC&I function, including auditing to ensure compliance.

  • Management of asset databases (both CMMS and web based) to reflect the true state of the Mostyn Site.

  • Management of hazardous area inspections to meet company standards and current legislation.

  • Compilation of reports detailing failure modes and locations to allow development of a risk and condition based inspection regime moving away from blanket inspection.

  • Efficiently plan resource allocation for EC&I Engineering function including low priority work to shift based.

  • Support the Project Team objectives by planning resource and providing suitable project support, including ability to support he projects team in resource requirements.

  • Responsible for managing, tracking and reporting the progress of works involving, contractors, consultants, suppliers, and to ensure they are managed in accordance with the terms of their contracts, and company, national and international standards.

  • Planning shutdown for an EC&I Team supplemented by external contractors, to include supplier requirements, access requirements, isolation and permitry, decontamination and job packing.

  • Able to integrate with the Mechanical team and cover for the Mechanical Planner during periods of absence.

Successful Candidate

  • Minimum of ONC qualification and vocational training in planning.

  • A Minimum of 3 years’ planning experience and ideally formal qualifications in Explosive Atmospheres related to EC&I Systems under IEC 61511 and DSEAR.

  • Experience and knowledge of the management of asset management systems and CMMS.

  • A minimum of 3 years EC&I Engineering experience in an Upper Tier COMAH Environment.

  • Capital Project experience preferable, but not essential. Experience in integrating complex projects from capital phase into maintenance phase including asset management, setting up routines and spares.
