Duty Manager

Role:-

-To assist in the effective day to day operations management of the hotel and lounge.

-To work with senior management to achieve a minimum of 72% GP on Wet and 70% GP on Food

-To ensure that an excellent level of customer care is delivered

Responsibilities:-

-Fulfil role of cocktail bar tender when supported by another duty manager

-To monitor and ensure that all beverages served are of the required standard and legal measure

-To work with senior management to promote special cocktails and bar promotions when running special events

-To work alongside the bar and restaurant manager to continuously train all GA’s with regards to the delivery of all beverages to the correct specification

-To assist with and drive the effective operation of stock control, cash security and service standards during duty management hours

-To ensure that at all times and food and drink hygiene practices are followed

-To deal with and resolve any customer complaints

-To maintain the safety and security of the hotel by making sure that correct health and safety procedures are adhered to on a day to day basis and in the event of an emergency

-To attend duty management meetings

-To effectively manage all conference and events bookings, and delivery of service

Hours of work:-

-Typically 40 -45hrs/week, shift pattern of 5 out of 7, extra hours and flexibility of hours may be required, when staff are on holiday or absent for other reasons

-Hours of work may vary according to demands of the business
