Duty Manager - North norfolk Coast
The main Purposes To manage the revenue and marketing of the hotel. To be responsible for all aspects of operational, financial and people management within the departments associated with the role. To operate as a duty manager for the hotel when required.
Manage the profit and loss of the Reservations Department. Ensure that key measures of success and targets are met.
Driving sales in all aspects of the reception department to maximise profit, with a particular focus on room revenue. Concurrently monitoring minimising refunds and complaints
Provide leadership to the reception team and inspire them to support the owners’ and management team’s vision for the hotel
Use social media to help expand the reach of the business
Deliver the guest offering in line with the brand vision; ensure that exceptional service is provided to Hotel guests.
Ensure the well-being and safety of guests and colleagues in the department
Develop leisure packages that will entice people to stay whilst gaining tangible business
Be aware of market trends and react accordingly
To seek out business and link with travel groups as required
Expand business opportunities through wedding bookings, events and group bookings
Recruit team members for the Hotel as required
Lead the team; provide direct line management support to the HODs
Filter down information, as required, to the team, that is given by senior management
Propose a structure for the development of team leaders and team members
Hold regular performance reviews with the teams under your leadership; provide regular feedback and coaching to team leaders. Organise training and development for the team
Represent the department at all relevant meetings; report back group issues to own Hotel team.
