SALARY: £30,000+ (DOE) with On-call Enhancement????????????

OVERVIEW:
• Manage a varied caseload of criminal defence matters
• Attend police stations to advise and represent clients
• Represent clients at the Magistrates’ Court
• Assist with more complex Crown Court cases where appropriate
• Actively participate in the duty rota, including office-hours coverage and out-of-hours advice and representation
• Work closely with experienced colleagues on thorough case preparation
• Deliver high-quality, robust, and timely legal advice to clients

THE CANDIDATE:
• Qualified Solicitor
• Current Duty Accreditation (essential)
• Experience handling criminal matters, gained through: Training contracts, post-qualification experience and prior criminal defence work
• Strong advocacy skills
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure
• Commitment to delivering high-quality client care
• Confident attending police stations and representing clients at the Magistrates’ Court
• Willing to participate in the out-of-hours duty rota
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Proactive approach to case management
